Are You Comfortable with Enrolling Online?
We’ve all had to figure out how to do a lot of things differently in the last few months. It hasn’t been easy, but we’ve been astonished by the calls we’ve received from agents who are out there figuring out how to do business electronically, who are closing sales left and right from the comfort of their own home office. Are you comfortable with this new way of doing things?
We recently conducted a survey regarding how agents plan to conduct meetings during AEP this year. The results show a significant shift from years past in the approach agents are taking for the upcoming AEP season.

One thing we can all agree on is that AEP is going to look different for 2021. Some of your clients may be comfortable with you coming to their home or meeting somewhere, while others may have a different comfort level and will want to do a video meeting or a discussion over the phone. It’s important to respect those opinions and be ready to offer your same expertise, and required documentation, a multitude of ways.
During the first few months of the pandemic, most national carriers came out with remote enrollment procedures. Have you tried enrolling your clients using these tools? UIG is completing the beta testing with agents for a new tool that lets you quote and enroll Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans using the multi-carrier enrollment tool we have set up for you. Agents have been giving us great feedback, especially liking the ease of enrolling a client from wherever they are, completing electronic SOAs, texting for signatures, preparing quotes and ultimately enrolling the client online.
